CAROLE ROTHMAN ANNOUNCES HER FAREWELL SEASON

Dear Friends,

After 45 years and countless achievements, Second Stage’s Founder and Artistic Director, Carole Rothman, announced that Season 45 will be her farewell season with us. Packed with world premieres, icons, debuts, and even some surprises, it’s going to be epic. We don’t want you to miss a moment.

“Carole has been a driving force in American theater since founding Second Stage 45 years ago, and we’re all indebted to her for her vision, her leadership and her unwavering commitment to championing new artistic voices and diverse new works,” said Board Co-Chairs Terry Lindsay and Kevin Brockman. “We look forward to the world-class productions Carole has programmed for the upcoming 45th Anniversary Season and celebrating her remarkable achievements over the coming year.”

We invite you to be part of Carole’s farewell season including a world premiere from the inimitable Paula Vogel starring Tony, Emmy, Golden Globe and Oscar winner Jessica Lange, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons, and Tony winner Celia Keenan-Bolger; the Broadway debut of two-time Pulitzer finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Sarah Paulson; a dangerous new comedy from Jen Silverman starring Tony-nominee Marin Ireland; plus two new productions in the Tony Kiser Theater.

Carole will remain at the helm for the entire season, and we look forward to celebrating her many accomplishments and the incredible season ahead with you.

See you at the theater,
