WAYS TO GIVE
Many companies have matching gift programs that will double or even triple your contribution, automatically upgrading your membership level. For more information, please contact your employer’s Human Resources. Submit your matching gift online or mail a completed form to the Membership team.
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
Please request that checks are made payable to Second Stage Theater. Our tax identification number is 13-3021180.
Give away appreciated assets and usually avoid a tax gain. Receive the regular charitable income tax deduction if you itemize your taxes. Claim a tax deduction for the full market value (rather than the cost value) of your stock if you have owned the securities for more than one year. Please call the membership team for stock transfer instructions.
In order to sustain Second Stage in perpetuity, we hope you will consider making a planned gift. There are several easy ways to include Second Stage in your estate plans.
A charitable bequest made through your will or retirement account is one of the simplest ways that you can make a significant contribution. Bequests can be made in the form of a specific gift of cash or property, a general sum of money or as a percentage of the residual estate.
Living trusts provide privacy for the individual and avoid probate. A living trust can direct gifts of cash or property.
Any asset with a death benefit such as life insurance, retirement plans, commercial annuities, or bank or brokerage accounts can be left as a gift.
